An unusual – but altogether apt – vantage point as a former fashion editor and luxury apparel and jewelry publicist led Karen Bizer to develop her very first fine jewelry collection. It proved to be a thoroughly auspicious beginning. With extensive editorial experience garnered at Women’s Wear Daily and W Magazine and well honed public relations skills developed as an extremely sought after publicist of such celebrated designer and jewelry collections as Krizia, Fred. Leighton, Temple St. Clair Carr and Evelyn Clothier, Bizer felt uniquely suited to draw from her experience to produce a collection of jewelry that captures everything she admires about good design: economy of gesture, simplicity, luxurious use of color and sumptuous choice of materials.

Her collection is informed by a point of view that, while distinctly modern, continues to embrace time honored traditions of her craft. It is, in fact, firmly rooted in well considered juxtaposition – the opaque against the sparkling, the smooth countered by the textural, and saturated hues balanced by clear brights.

Additionally, Bizer has extensive experience in the re-engineering of her customers’ treasured keepsakes – ranging from south sea pearls to antique-cut diamonds – to create new, highly personal and thoroughly one-of-a-kind pieces.

Bizer is confident that her own highly developed personal style – reliably tending towards the understated and classic (much like those sophisticated and modern New York City friends and neighbors who comprise her most avid customer base) serves as a perfect foil for eye-catching jewelry.
